Safety promise

Riley's Way safety defaults

Community starts with approved kindness only. Photos, direct messages, public child profiles, adult-to-child messaging, location collection, and free-text comments are locked until safety gates are ready.

Parent trust

Launch with the safest version first.

Riley's Way can launch with content, parent profiles, consent, and member access first. Community and photo sharing open only after moderation and parent notifications are proven.

  1. Parent creates account
  2. Parent adds nickname-only child profile
  3. App verifies the child profile belongs to that parent
  4. Consent is recorded
  5. Content is age-filtered
  6. Community/photo features stay locked
  7. Reports and parent warnings route to review

Parent First

Parents create accounts, record consent, and control community/photo permissions. The app verifies that each child profile belongs to the signed-in parent.

Moderation First

Content and community features stay behind review gates before families see them. Kind Words reactions require parent community consent before they can be saved.

Data Minimal

Checkout receives commerce data only. Child journals, profiles, and care routines stay in the app database.

No Private Adult Access

Direct adult-to-child messaging, public contact details, location sharing, and unapproved adult community access stay blocked.

Bullying Warnings

Harsh words, teasing, or repeated unkind behavior can trigger moderation review and parent notification.

Photo Safeguards

Hair photos require parent consent, moderation, and no identifying information before any sharing feature opens.

Community rules

Every family should understand the kindness standard before sharing opens.

Bullying, predator behavior, unsafe adult access, and harsh appearance comments do not belong in Riley's Way.
